CHENL is an association dedicated to providing support and direction for Home Educating families in Newfoundland and Labrador. It is our goal to have a place where homeschoolers can connect to homeschoolers but to also direct those interested in finding out about this educational option. Our board has members living and homeschooling in Western, Central and Eastern Newfoundland.

CHENL has played an increasing role in directly lobbying local School Board and government offices with regard to Home Education. The Association also operates as liaison with most post-secondary institutions in Newfoundland and Labrador.

CHENL plans and provides an annual Home Education Conference in Newfoundland and Labrador each spring. We are pleased to offer excellent national and local speakers as well as a curriculum fair. It is the perfect chance to meet with fellow provincial home educators for encouragement and the latest ideas!
